Online Town Hall Meetings: Exploring Democracy in the 21st Century is a report summarizing the findings and recommendations from an academic study of 21 online town hall meetings between Members of Congress and their constituents, which were facilitated by the partners of the Connecting to Congress project.
This report is funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and contributions from Harvard’s Ash Institute for Democratic Governance and Innovation. Learn more about the NSF Digital Government Grant.

The Communicating with Congress project is a multi-year effort to improve communications between citizens and Members of Congress. Our goal is to reduce or remove the current frustrations and barriers, facilitate increased citizen participation in the public policy process, and promote a meaningful democratic dialogue that benefits our country.
