Program Description

Covid-19 will have long-lasting impacts on nearly every aspect of our society, and engagement between Congress and constituents is no exception. The Congressional Management Foundation (CMF) recently conducted a survey of senior congressional staff – the first survey conducted of staff since the coronavirus outbreak. In August, CMF will release a major study on how this recent crisis has affected congressional operations.

This webinar (recorded on August 3, 2020) provides a sneak preview of the research and includes EXCLUSIVE CMF findings on the following. These findings WILL NOT BE MADE PUBLIC.

  • How Congress is now responding to grassroots email campaigns.
  • What congressional staff believe are ascending technologies and tools for interacting with constituents.
  • How coronavirus and remote working has affected Members of Congress comfort for working with technology.

The program was conducted by Bradford Fitch, President and CEO of CMF. Guests included lead CMF researchers for this project, Kathy Goldschmidt, Director of Strategic Initiatives and a 22-year veteran of CMF, and Bradley Sinkaus, Associate Manager of Congressional Operations.
